Zooming out and zooming in, thinking back at the ‘Powers of Ten’. Incomprehensible of its scale, do we look up at the skies.
But also looking down at what lies below, we must ask ourselves, do we comprehend its scale?
This short series started as a 3D displacement experiment and transformed itself somehow into this invisible nano-landscape (invisible to the human eye at least). Worlds within worlds, strangely distancing themselves from one another in the same universe. Or at least, so it would appear sometimes, to the beholder.
Because, on the other hand they’re showing similarities in their differences. Our own realities are so versatile and interesting on their own that it feels strange sometimes to see that we are looking for alternate ones, in such a consistent matter. Even as artists, so often trying to detach from reality, it is still worth exploring reality itself.
