‘Experimental Exposition’ is a dynamical project that keeps growing and evolving over time. As ideas come to mind they need an excuse to become externalized. And giving them context is one of the ways to accomplish this. This project will feature a series of CG images based on this simple idea: exposition of the mind.

Where some thoughts keep floating in space, this provides a reason to materialize those thoughts. It’s a grab-and-produce concept in which whatever comes to mind, comes into production. And you don’t even need to purchase a ticket to enter. Great! Isn’t that just great?

The piece above reflects the beginning of an outbreak of creativity. It is an initially white canvas that invites creation. The canvas has a physical depth which causes the light to create shadows on it giving it a modern art feel. It is pushing boundaries. Wanting to go further and making use of a new dimension. It is creativity trying to reach out but still having to gain momentum. Basically, it is the start of something new.

Doors represent exploration. Behind every door is a new world to visit. Be it a simple livingroom telling a personal story of its owner, a complex world outside the fabricated idea of safety and comfort or an unseen inner battle taking place. The door is there to enter through or it is there to keep something from coming in or going out. What stories are to be found behind one. Let us explore.

Abstraction is revealing

Complexity is around us. It can sometimes feel like it is hiding in plain sight. Which – you could argue – it most of the time does. The most basic human actions can move complex systems which themselves convert their complexity in something that basic human understanding can comprehend. Abstraction can reveal the workings of a complex system. But what if abstraction itself becomes part of a complex system?
